Evente asserts that the online solution provides virtually all the features, functionality and benefits of the systems offered by SAP, Ariba, IBM and other providers of enterprise-class supply chain management solutions. Because Evente.com is Web-based, small businesses do not need to install any software and can start taking advantage of the benefits of the system the day they sign up, the solution provider said.
"If you can use Google or Yahoo, you can use Evente," said Chip Zelt, vice president of business development and co-founder of the Zephyr Cove, Nev.-based company.
According to
SDCE, there is no cost to use Evente.com during the beta phase. At the conclusion of the beta test period, Zelt said, users will be charged a subscription fee, in the range of $25 per month for an entire company, regardless of the number of employees using the system.
In addition, users who sign up at www.Evente.com during the beta test period will receive a waiver of subscription charges for the first full year after the system is formally launched, Zelt said.
